Oona opened the Salon in 1985 with a dream to have an outstanding Beauty Center focusing on the client and their needs, taking into account all aspects of beauty, inside and out. She believes in great skincare routines, regular facial and body treatments, great nutrition and she is passionate about promoting self esteem and self confidence in herself and others.

She is also a qualified ITEC tutor and has trained in England and France on many occasions and also Hollywood, California; Italy and Hungry.

She is also a certified Master NLP Practitioner, (Neuro Linguistic Programming is the study of how we think and communicate more effectively with ourselves and others), a Master Neuro Strategist and a Certified Master Hypnotherapist. In May 2006 Oona graduated from Anthony Robbins Leadership academy, the worlds top Life Skills Programme studying relationships and communications; physical, mental, emotional and financial well being. (Studying NLP has taken Oona to Dublin, Birmingham, London, the Bahamas, Fiji, Arizona, Las Vegas and California).

Oona has lectured on how to "Look Good ~ Feel Fantastic", how to be "Healthy and Happy", given presentations on "Work-life Balance", how to "Influence with Integrity" and has run "Head-start", a programme to promote self-esteem and confidence in school students. Oona has organised and run sell-out events by international presenters including Mikal Nielsen's "Learning to Sing" and Michael Morningstar's "Living Cuisine".

Her two businesses have been featured on Irish National Television programmes "Head to Toe" and "Nationwide". Oona launched her latest venture MindSet Solutions in January 2008. She has written articles on health and beauty for magazines and newspapers.

Oona is also a founding member of Sligo "Toastmasters Club" and "Sligo and North-West Business and Professional Women's Club".
