Oona has always been interested in personal development and living life to our fullest potential. In 2003 she walked on fire for the first time. The increase in confidence this gave her was so measurable she wanted to share this and similar experience with others. In January 2005, using the skills she learned to boost confidence and improve self-esteem, she gave a presentation on how to "Look Good ~ Feel Fantastic" this was a sell out event with double the numbers turning up to the amount of tickets sold. Later that year she donated her time to the Family Life Center and ran a four week course on how to be "Healthy and Happy". In August 2005 Oona invited Mikal Nielsen to Sligo and with the support of the Business and Professional Womens Club organised the hugely successful sellout "Learning to Sing" event, held in the picturesque Mullaghmore, Sligo. Mikal returned a month later to deliver his Firewalking Course in Sligo.

In December 2005 Oona met "the great news coach" Michael Morningstar in America and was so impressed with his knowledge of nutrition and food she invited Michael to Sligo to present "Living Cuisine", this event was another successful sellout. The ethos of the Salon has always been to give back to the community, and to this end all proceeds from "Learning to Sing", "Look Good, Feel Fantastic", "Happy and Healthy", "Influence with Integrity", "Headstart" and the "Firewalking" course were given to local groups or charities.
Michael Morningstar, the Great News Coach, plans to return in October 2006 with his new and improved "Great NEWS for Body, Mind and Spirit" Seminar. If you are interested in this or any other courses please
